Let AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor read and act on your BuildPlate data — your cars, build sheets, orders, and more. You stay in control: every connection asks you to sign in and approve.

Publish the app

The MCP server only works after the app is published. If you've already published, you're good to go.

Paste the URL above into your assistant's connector settings.

Claude

ChatGPT

  1. ›Requires a paid plan (Plus, Pro, Business, or Edu)
  2. ›Settings → Connectors → Advanced (or Settings → Security and login)
  3. ›Enable Developer Mode
  4. ›Add custom connector → paste the MCP URL
  5. ›Choose OAuth and approve

Cursor

  1. ›Settings → Tools & Integrations

Approve access

The first time your assistant connects, it opens a consent page. Sign in with your BuildPlate account and click Approve. The assistant then acts as you — using only the permissions your account has.

Start using it

Ask your assistant to do things like 'list my build sheets', 'show pending plate orders', or 'find cars in the collection'. It calls your app's tools on your behalf.

You can disconnect any assistant at any time. Reconnecting after an app update requires re-approving access, since new tools may have been added.
